One single with two songs, each based on an unchanging loop, wherein Panda Bear leaves the guitar home to paddle a while longer in the diaphanous digital soup heated up earlier this year on Jane's Berserker. "I'm Not" is so thin and wispy, an errant cough from Avey Tare would scatter it to the four winds, but in the calm of solitude it hangs in place like a soap bubble, the gently undulating synth binding itself to Panda's ethereal sighs. "Comfy in Nautica" is madras-shirted Beach Boys inna dub, the proverbial little deuce coupe parked on a rugged cliff next to a fire pit in Sasquatch country. Hands, voice, a sampler, and a delay unit are all he needs; the entire rig could fit in a book bag. It's hard to clap this slow unless you're on drugs-- hint, hint-- but stick around for double-time stomping at the end.
