Some Work, published on the occasion of Eric Wesley's 2015 exhibition at 356 Mission Rd., includes images and descriptions of Wesley’s major projects and exhibitions from 2001-2015. The book includes conceptual representations of several works presented at 356 Mission Rd. including a fold-out reproduction of the monumental “I beam U channel, 2009” and a multi-page spread of “Infiniti Project, 2015".
Some Work is the largest and most complete publication of Wesley’s work to date, including images and documents from the artist’s personal archive and ephemera from several of his most significant projects including “New Amsterdam” presented at Metro Pictures, New York and “Spafice” presented at the Foundation Morra Greco in Naples.
Eric Wesley (b. 1973, Los Angeles) has exhibited internationally, including solo exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles and Fondazione Morra Greco, Naples, Italy. Selected group exhibitions include the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; Musée d’Art Contemporain, Bordeaux; Fundación/Colección, Jumex, Mexico; Museo d’Arte, Benevento, Italy; the 2004 Whitney Biennial; Institute of Contemporary Art, London; MoMA P.S.1, New York; and the Studio Museum in Harlem. He is one of the founders of Los Angeles’ Mountain School of Arts and lives and works in Los Angeles.
