~*~aZn PrYdE OnLiNe~*~ is a collection of found texts and images representing aZn PrYdE online in the late 90s/early 2000s.
This book is a compilation of early web ephemera made by a generation of Asian creatives making things for each other and to represent themselves when you could still customize the html of your myspace page.
Maybe this is an entry point for those who haven’t revisited this time or never felt any value in revisiting it. We think it’s interesting because it was an unspoken collective sensibility expressed through these digital artifacts. It was something to connect with even if you didn’t connect with being American but you had never been where your parents are from. Much of that experience isn’t positive so we aren’t nostalgic, but it’s actually just fun to collectively remember what was cool about growing up azn.
