In April 2015, Heather Clark was raped by someone they considered a friend, not a close friend but a friend. In October 2016, they released an open letter to a selective audience they saw as a safe community to do so with. In May 2017, Clark turned their 12-page open letter PDF into a zine: Scorched Cunt.
Scorched Cunt includes the open letter with retractions of the city the rape took place in and their rapist's name. It is not an instructional zine on how to deal with sexual abuse but instead, it's their process of learning to cope with what happened to them and their thoughts on how we can all change the rape culture we live in.
