This zine is a collection of photographs taken by Dean Sameshima between 1993-2001 throughout LA at varying tearooms, public spaces, mainly public restrooms, where men would meet for anonymous sex. Sameshima began this project while an undergrad at CalArts wanting to document public sex spaces in LA as a way of recording an important part of his own and the LA gay history. While working on this project, many of the tearooms were being policied, raided and eventually shut down. The drawings in the zine were temporary forms of communications, often being painted over and erased by the time Sameshima made another visit.
